Robson House

Children

“Pupils arrive at school in the morning happy and eager to learn” (Ofsted, 2023)

Children at Robson House are aged between 5 and 11 years old, and are currently unable to manage in mainstream education provision because of social, emotional and mental health difficulties. Many pupils have experienced significant trauma in their lives and require specialist therapeutic input. The majority also have diagnosed developmental disorders.

The majority of pupils benefiting from our provision have been unable to engage effectively with mainstream provision, and come to us for intensive support. Children typically transfer to Robson House as a result of  a change of placement agreed at a Review of their Education, Health and Care Plan, or by a managed move agreed by Camden’s Primary Inclusion Forum. Children are also offered a place at Robson House if they are permanently excluded from a mainstream school.

Robson House has on-site provision for 20 pupils. The allocation of these places is overseen by Camden’s Primary Inclusion Forum. We also provide support for children in mainstream schools via our Outreach Team.
